Project Description: A young boy named Juan is forced to spend the day with his older brother's friends. Despite trying to keep to himself, Juan's masculinity is tested by the older group.
Read the character breakdowns and in a pre-screen video, perform a poem, monologue, or a script or book excerpt, etc., that the characterrsquo;s breakdown reminds you of. Sides will be provided for first auditions.

When Juan is dragged to hang out with Miguel and his older friends (Justice, Jade, Mia), Juan’s masculinity is questioned by Justice and Miguel. After running away from the group, he finds comfort in Jade. When Justice and Miguel find them talking and test him yet again, Juan must learn to stand up for himself. He drags Juan to a hangout with his hyper-masculine friend Justice and two girls (Jade and Mia). Miguel is caught in the middle when Juan is picked on by Justice, resulting in him questioning Juan’s toughness and driving him away from the group. Worried, he goes to search for Juan. She has an on and off again fling with the hyper-masculine Justice, and meets up with him and his friend Miguel (who brings along his younger brother Juan) to hangout for the day. After baiting him into being pushed by Justice, she goes after Juan to apologize, and through their conversation, learns she is not happy with her current situation. He meets up with friends Jade (his on and off again fling) and Miguel (who brings along his younger brother Juan) equipped with a 6-pack and the younger Mia at his side. After Miguel’s younger brother Juan offends Justice by looking in his direction while he pees outside, he gets in his face and pushes him to the ground. Later finding Jade at Juan’s aid, he tries to reassert his dominance and is met with pushback from everyone else.

After Juan and Jade separate from the group, Mia gets Justice to herself but is overwhelmed and made uncomfortable by his physical touch.
