A short film about a young immigrant trying to gain independence from her overbearing mother. Must be willing to self-report to set (Brooklyn).

Upon arriving in New York she gets trapped in immigration limbo unable to go back to her child. After ten years of separation and nine circles of immigration hell, Maria is reunited with Kore who is suddenly not a child but a grown woman. Can Maria accept that and let Kore find autonomy?

Red haired woman is an alluring, seductive creature. Think of Satine in 'Moulin Rouge' and Gillian in 'Practical Magic' played by Nicole Kidman.
