Project Description: Fanzine editor is a slice-of-life tragicomedy about a man who once published a popular music magazine, hosted a big radio show, and made movies, but he made the mistake of being content with the status quo, and he stopped fighting for new victories. He also didn't see the changing tastes in audiences. Although his craft keeps him alive, he is not making the money he did years ago. Shifts from print and DVD/Bluray add to the problems, as does his shrinking status.
Rather than focus on the solutions available to him, he is stuck on the past, and his only concerns are about maintaining or severing relationships with people, until the end of the movie. but it's too late at that point. Feature film with guaranteed distribution via MVD.

Melissa is a girl from the protagonist's past who discovers that the man will be visiting her state. (He moved since they first met). She hadn't seen him in a long time because it never worked out. She was always in a relationship, or the protagonist was.
The two have dinner, and there is a romantic spark. The two have conversations and more dates, ultimately ending in a love scene in the woods where they had picnicked. Unfortunately, their romance is interrupted by ants. They try to make it work, but nature wins.
As they grow closer, Melissa advises the protagonist and he finally considers real solutions. However, during a radio broadcast, he ridicules Melissa, thinking that she would never tune into his show (she hates metal), and so ends their relationship.

Jill is a lifelong friend of the protagonist and is his most trusted confidante. She helps the protagonist see that some of his friends are very bad for him. During one of the protagonist's travels, Jill meets up with him, and they cross the friendship barrier in a love scene. This unfortunately ends in an argument after Jill discovers that the protagonist reveals that he has no intention to move to Jill's state. He shad talked about it being possible, but he meant that for years in the future.

Lydia is a fan of the protagonist's work. He had explained to her that he would never date a fan, and she was content to be his friend, but she intended to test his resolve. She finally succeeds in seducing him, and little-by-little, her crazy nature slips out, which ultimately ends the relationship that should have never started.
SARAH |
Female | Any Ethnicity | Age: 18 - 40 One day role shooting in Atlantic City, NJ. Pays $150. No nudity but must be comfortable wearing Lingerie (g string, thigh highs, garter belt) required for some scenes.
Sarah is a fan who meets the protagonist after he leaves his other fan. She succeeds in making the protagonist waive his rule about not dating fans, She knows he loves lingerie and she uses that to get him to crack. They seem to move toward the truest love that could ever be expressed, but during the seduction, she discovers the name of the other fan who is widely known for being crazy, and frequently infected. She has a tremendous fear of STDs and storms off.
