Inspired by Chuang Tzursquo;s butterfly dream, Butterfly Dreams follows one woman living two parallel lives. In one, shersquo;s a sophisticated, elegant figure; dressing in sleek gowns, charming men effortlessly, and basking in a vibrant social world. In the other, shersquo;s a desperate junkie; wandering gritty streets, chasing drugs, and failing to seduce through her broken allure. Through striking visuals and subtle butterfly motifs, the film drifts between these existences; split-screens, mirrored actions, and ambiguous waking moments; leaving viewers to wonder: is one dreaming the other, or are they both real? No answers, no judgments; just a poetic exploration of identityrsquo;s fragile drift.

A versatile actress to portray two contrasting sides of a single character, inspired by Chuang Tzu’s "Butterfly Dream." She is both a sophisticated, elegant woman, attractive, intelligent, and successful, living a vibrant life of parties with friends, nice clothes, and quiet nights on her balcony, and a desperate junkie, lost, disheveled, lonely, and drug-addicted, roaming dark streets and crumbling spaces in search of her next fix. The roles demand strong differentiation between the two characters, emotional intensity. No audible dialogue. The story is told through visuals (actions, expressions, costume, locations). The story explores a haunting ambiguity, two lives that might be one, or a dream within a dream. Note: Actress will play both parts and will never know which, if either one, is the “real” person. She will interact with other actors, but dialogue will not be used in the film.
