Project Description: Casting "Nigredo" a short film. Synopsis: Lia Rain is having the worst night of her life. Her mother was murdered, a vengeful goddess has possessed her body and to top it all off her father has been kidnapped by a ruthless cult. To get her father back Lia must survive a night full of violent killers and vengeful gods fighting an ancient war. Just another Saturday night for an 18 year old. Nigredo is an intense Sci-fi/ Horror/ Action film inspired by ancient mythology and 1980s sci-fi/horror films. Written and Directed by award-winning filmmaker Cesar Cruz.

Female 25-35. Caucasian/young but must come across as mature and strong. Timeless. Morrigan is an ancient Irish mythological being associated with war and fate. She often appears as a crow, a woman or a combination of the two. The Morrigan encourages warriors to do brave deeds and strike fear in their enemies. Morrigan is released from her prison and becomes bound to Lia Rain, giving Lia the strength and power to rescue her father. The more Lia uses Morrigan�s power, the stronger she gets� but at what cost?

CABAL | Male | Any Ethnicity | Age: 25 - 35 | Role Type: Leading
Male 25-35, any ethnicity. Clean cut, handsome and charming. MUST be fit. Stage combat training preferred for possible fight scenes. Cabal is an eccentric, powerful and evil man. No one knows where he came from but he is well known in the criminal underworld and runs the gang "The Faceless Ones". Cabal is often seen with Mider.

MIDER | Male | Any Ethnicity | Age: 25 - 25 | Role Type: Supporting
Male 25 plus. Must be a fit, muscular and imposing actor. Ageless. Wears a mask so must be able to act without using facial expressions. MUST have stage combat experience. Mider is an enigma, his past is unknown. He doesn't speak but seems to communicate directly with Cabal through telepathic abilities. His is strong, powerful and violent.

FACELESS ONES | Male or Female | Any Ethnicity | Age: 18 - 18
Age 18 plus, 5 Actors needed-MUST be fit and have stage combat experience. All wear masks. This well organized gang has their hands in drugs, sex trafficking, kidnapping/abductions, murder and pirating/theft. They get their name from the plain white masks they wear under black hoodies. Their identities are unknown unless the police catch them, which is a death sentence for them.
